Monique Y. Wells profile
Monique is Bonjour Paris' Culture and Lifestyle Editor. She has studied French since pre-school, and minored in French in college. She took up catering as a hobby while in graduate school and has managed to keep cooking a part of her life while juggling her other work activities. In 1991, she met her husband, Roy T. Reeves (Tom), in the Bay Area in California when they both attended a dinner given by a professor at the Alliance Française East Bay. They moved to Paris, France permanently in 1992, and were married in Paris. Monique has a special interest in African-American history, culture and contemporary life in Paris. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Monique is an alumna of University of Pennsylvania (undergraduate and veterinary schools) and The Ohio State University (master's degree in veterinary pathobiology). She has board certifications in veterinary pathology and in toxicology, and is currently a consultant in the field of toxicologic pathology.
