Go Smell Flowers in Glass Houses

By Kirsten Guenther

In the heart of the 16th arrondissement, escape into a calm meditation in a glass house filled with the aroma of ferns, Forrest plants, tropical plants, palm trees and orchids. The houses are a result of Jean Camillie Formige and were first built to grow plants for Paris' parks in 1895.

This is a great reason to visit the 16th, which you might otherwise have left untouched, that is, unless, invited to a particular Saturday brunch. This weekend sip a coffee and nibble a croissant at a cafe and then take a stroll in a glass house for some aroma therapy.
Admission is one euro.
