April 2010 Paris Events

By Lisa Buros-Hutchins

Musee Du LouvreApril welcomes spring running through the gardens in Paris where tulips and cherry blossoms abound and blanket the City of Light in fresh spring colours.  Monet’s Gardens officially open to the public for the season and we get to put away our winter clothes and enjoy long strolls outside again.  However, since it is always a good idea to have a destination, here are this month’s happenings worth taking a stroll to in Paris!

  • Other Art Museums Hi, Lisa. Love the monthly list . It is very helpful. I'm coming back to Paris at the end of April and will strt with your list to see what is happening, even before I purchase my Pariscope at a kiosk when I get to town. Just one suggestion. You might want to add the Jeu de Paume to the list each month since it has interesting photographic and cinematic exositions. I always check to see what's there. One year, I saw a wonderful photography exhibit by Georges Simenon (never knew till then that he did anything other than write Inspector Maigret books) (Also it was, of course, where Alec Petrovsky displayed his art when he took Carrie Bradshaw to Paris).
