How do the French feel about the American Election

I wonder whether or not Sarah Palin knows where France is? Perhaps she can see it out of her bedroom window. Carlyn (and others), please forgive my sarcasm, but what do your French friends think of the potential GOP 'second' lady?

I sat with Robert and a French friend watching Barack Obama give his speech. Our friend was enthralled by it and found Obama's candidacy
as a promise of change not only for the United States but for the relationship we have with the world. If you have watched CNN lately,
Bernard-Henri Lévy French intellectual , author and journalist stated that for France Obama was a combination of JFK and Martin Luther KIng. I have yet to hear anything negative about Obama from anyone French.
