Restaurant suggestions for Menton-Help

Thank you all for your suggestions. I will research them. We have eaten at La Merenda and have to be the only couple who had a bad meal there. Also, I don't think "La Chevre d'Or" is for us only because of the drive back to Menton.....And yes, we are planning to spend some time in Italy. So now I will check out the other suggestions, one of my favorite parts of planning the trip.

My advice might be out of time. Haven't been down there for ages.

La Merenda in Nice? Les Vieux Murs and Auberge Provençale in Antibes?
They are gone maybe now.

I am not to familiar with restaurants in Menton, which is really a litle border town, but not too far west is the little town of Eze, where the have an excellent restuarant, the "La Chevre d'Or" (i did not say anything about it being cheap, but it is top notch and has a very good reputation.

You''ll be sooooooooooooo close to Italy that you'll have both countries to choose from! There are some terrific restaurants in San Remo. Please have patience!

This is our 15th trip to the South of France and we are staying in Menton for a week. We will be going to our favorite restaurants in other cities along the coast but are looking for some suggestions for eating in Menton. Suggestions do not have to be Michelin rated but just some fun restaurants with good food. We are going at the beginning of March so PLEASE guys help!!!
