Deux Maggots

We know the little band well, Al. Greatly enjoy them! But sadly they weren't playing at lunch.

Just across the street on the corner by the crepe stand there is a regular group of jazz musicians (French + 1 Italian) who play great combo American jazz. If they were playing at the time they would have been a great background.

As for the people watching, we did little of that.The gentleman at the next table introduced himself to us. He was a charming 84 year old French cardiologist and we spent over an hour discussing American jazz and classical music. When we said goodbye, he was off to purchase a Bill Evans cd.

Must have been quite a bit for the new addition has been there well before this summer. Since this area is part of our haunts we pass there quite a bit and our relationship with Deux Magots is essentially being the people that patrons go there to watch.

Hadn't been to Deux Maggots for a bit and was delighted to see that they have an additional terrace for tables this summer. Spent a lovely afternoon there on a perfect Paris day.
