Wow -- please forgive my NOT being precise.

Occasionally, AOL won't allow notifications to come though .... there's no rhyme or reason. AOL is simply contrary and we've spent MANY hours on the phone with them.

As has INVISION - our discussion board server.

Not so, my dear. I have always received notifications except like all the others when it is a BP system problem. And my AOL anti-spam system is on and extremely effective. There is a file where all the spam goes and when I check to delete the file it is amazing how little non-spam is collected (which I identify for the system) and I can't remember ever finding BP Notifications "hiding" in the spam file.

Is somebody watching over me?

Nope....nor to the other 2 or 3 that I should have. And I would not get a notification of my own post.

I've been traveling the last couple of weeks and haven't been very active on the board, but I have noticed the lack of spam (thank you, BP!) Like Al, I also haven't received notifications.

Thank you Ellen and Al:

Have been frantic and just today realized I haven't received any recent notifications.

will see what can be done ASAP.

merci .

I have noticed only ONE spam in the past couple of weeks. I have also noticed no new members in that time period. I know that one must sign on to post spam but I don't know if the reverse is significant.

I also have not received any topic notifications for the past couple of weeks. How about others out there?
The developers of the message board has modified the BP message board system to provide better restrictions against SPAM. When new accounts are created, users will need to enter the text the see in a graphical display.

They will also need to verify their email address. This should significantly improve the SPAM situation. However, they developer is working to delete any accounts which are the source of SPAM. So, it may be a little but more time to resolve this.
