If you take the flight, please let us know how you liked it.

I can't get access to the help desk, the links at the bottom don't work -- would it be possible to email me a contact?

Thanks,

This just came in from http://www.joesentme.com

Meanwhile, OpenSkies, the BA boutique airline that flies from New York to Paris and Amsterdam (effective October 15), is offering 1,000 seats per route at a special fare. The service is in its prem+ cabin, which is a virtual business class featuring seats configured 2x2, with 52 inches of seat pitch and 140-degree recline. The fare: $499 one-way to Amsterdam and $599 one-way to Paris/Orly. Those fares include the fuel surcharge. The travel period lasts until March 31, but tickets must be booked by October 15. A roundtrip purchase and 7-day advance purchase apply. Information:

I will be taking the flight next week and will report all ;-)
This is a test post. Please disregard.
I am going to be taking the All Business class Open Skies flight from NYC to Orly.

Stay tuned for a report ;-)
Excuse me Al but I don't think I missed the point. Until we get the discussion board back in order, even if you had made a post ALL the way down, your name and the date would have been visible to all.

Karen.....you miss my point. To see my post normally people would have to scroll down to the "Money" which is half way down. There are over 100 catagories and people aren't going to do all that scrolling not even knowing that they are going to get positive results. By doing what I did my posting was was right on top and was seen without blind scrolling.
Al -- If you posted in the proper place -- people would see you post and perhaps EVEN respond to it.

I AM POSTING IN THIS SPACE BECAUSE i HOPE THAT PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO SEE MY POSTING EVEN IF IN THE WRONG SUBJECT SPACE. mY POSTING ON kAREN'S cREDIT cARD SUBJECT HAD TO BE ANSWERED UNDER THE CATAGORY "MONEY" WHICH IS HALFWAY DOWN THE ALPHABETICAL ASSORTMENT AND IN A SPOT WHERE bpERS WOULDN'T TAKE THE BOTHER TO GO TO. tHIS IS THE big problem WITH THE CURRENT FORMAT....NOT BEING READILY ABLE TO SEE THE LATEST POSTING. iT'S WHY AT THIS POINT kAREN AND i (FOR ALL INTENTS) ARE THE ONLY POSTERS......WHICH MEANS UNTIL CHANGE IS MADE i'LL BE WHISTLING IN THE WIND.
Richard:

The trains between London and Paris (and back again) leave nearly every hour:

The above is a site you may find of interest.

I always appreciate sitting in the lounges before departure. You can even join or (I hope this is still true) gain admission by showing your Platinum Business Card. Or, you can buy the most expensive seats where passengers are served a meal. Kinda like airline food only better .... thank goodness. Hope this helps.
What times does the Eurostar leave?
How I hate being locked into flights that I can't change for myriad reasons. There is more competition to London.
If you're headed to Paris, it's more efficient to take the EuroStar. Faster and less hassle that going to different airports.

Take the Tube to the EuroStar station.
Trains leave nearly every hour.
Have the fares on the so-called low priced inter-European airlines increased, too? I hadn't checked fares for a few weeks until today and I can't believe how much they've gone up. Sometimes there are decent fares to London with connections on Easy Jet, Ryanair, etc.
Youn are locked in
Richard -- Welcome ;-) Are the tickets flexible or are you locked into certain dates if you fly AF business class?

The fares are higher, there is less opportunity to use miles but if your plans are known well in advance you can still get a deal on Air France.
Air fares have gone sky high because the cost of the fuel. Sometimes you can snag a last-minute decently priced fare because the airlines would rather fill the seats than have them be empty. But, don't count on it. Gone are the days of $300 A/R fares. Sad but true.

That's not surprising with the cost of oil these days. Companies are feeling the pinch as well as individuals. Have you noticed airfares rising in general?
Many of the all business class airlines are folding.

This just came over the wire:

" L'Avion, which flies between Newark and Paris/Orly, remains in the all-business-class category. And there are indications that L'Avion won't survive long as a independent. It has recently signed a code-share deal with OpenSkies, BA's planned boutique carrier that will launch June 19 with flights between New York/Kennedy and Paris/Orly."
This just came across my screen and the price won't last.

This is a GREAT all biz airline.

AL - -you're ever so correct. Even the "normal" fare is a business class bargain.

Take a look at the new all-business class airline:

It flies between Newark or Orly.

Has anyone flown the airline? The price is certainly right!
