From BPAl: "Went to bed at 7PM yesterday (my day of arrival) and look what time it is now (3:27 a.m.). Can't understand those who say west to east (overnight to Europe) is the jet lag problem."
Al, first, welcome back! Can't wait to hear about your trip.
I agree; it's always harder for me to adjust when traveling from Europe home. When traveling from east to west, I try to stay up until normal bedtime hours, but it's a challenge. Maybe it's the adrenaline that helps when I arrive in Europe, but I have no adjustment problem in that direction.
I can't wait to hear about Al's trip as well. I always find I'm the most jet-lagged where my mail is waiting!
But -- I sleep on the plane no matter which direction and try to stay up until 10 pm.
Medical experts say that you should count on an one day for each hour of time zone change in order to become fully acclimated.
